Fruit smoothie with chia seed


2–3 tbsp white chia seed
2 cups water
3 bananas or 2 mangoes or 1 punnet of strawberries
1½ cups milk
1 tbsp honey (optional)
1 cup ice

  1. Combine chia seeds with water and soak for 20 minutes until a thick gel forms.
  2. In a blender, combine the chia seed gel and remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.
  3. Serve immediately.

Tip: For a thicker smoothie, add half a cup of natural yoghurt.
